An article in the Richmond Times-Dispatch has discussed how a Henrico county gymnasium was recently used by 150 middle school students participated in a Bikram exhibition. The Article continues to discuss the twenty five minute session where the middle school kids were then asked to breath and relax.

Later on in the article the total number of participants in the U.S. is quoted below by the Sports and Fitness Industry Association with research done by Sports Marketing Surveys USA.

“About 22 million people in the U.S. practiced in 2014, according to the most recent Sports and Fitness Industry Association study.”
